Filming for this episode was conducted 10/17/1988 thru 10/25/1988.

The teaser starts us off with a drug deal that goes poorly. This was filmed on location on Espanola Way on Miami Beach. The action centers around 412 Espanola Way outside the Clay Hotel.

Outside 417 Espanola Way. The roof behind him is the roof where the SWAT sniper was located in Cool Runnin’.

Then we see the standard season 5 opening montage.

Act 1 opens with the Vice crew (w/o Crockett) working the aftermath of the deal gone bad. Filmed on location outside the Clay Hotel on Espanola Way.

Then we see an exterior establishing shot of Raul’s. This is stock footage from Los Angeles. Raul’s was located at 19850 Santa Monica Blvd. We have seen this location used previously in Trust Fund Pirates, Walk Alone and Rock and A Hard Place.

Then we go inside the bar where Tubbs and Stan are working the case. Thanks to Tom at miamiviceonline.com for letting me know that this was filmed on location in the Paris Modern/Paris Theater. 550 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Next we go inside the OCB for a briefing. This was filmed on set inside Greenwich Studios.

Strangely, the photo they have of Martillo Borrasco was taken at the failed drug deal that the Vice Squad is now investigating. Don’t know how this could be explained.

Next we see Castillo with Tubbs recruiting some undercover help. Filmed on location but location unknown.

Next we see an exterior establishing shot of the Molino Rojo Bar. There is a Molino Rojo Bar located at 446 SW 8th Street in Miami but it is unknown if this is where the shot was filmed.

Then we go inside. Filming location unknown.

Then we proceed to the stolen freighter. This was filmed on location on the Miami River. The boat is on the south bank of the Miami River just downstream from the NW 22nd Avenue bridge.

Then we see Tubbs and Stan on Espanola Way where the episode started. Stan goes inside the Clay Hotel to make two phone calls.

This leads us to Uribe’s shop where three men arrive and kill him and his worker. Switek and Tubbs arrive on the scene too late. Filming location unknown.

Next we see Switek and Tubbs in a bar called Paris Modern. Thanks to Tom at miamiviceonline.com we know that this was filmed at 550 Washington Ave., Miami Beach.

Then we go outside the bar. Filmed on location outside the Paris Theater, 550 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Then we return to the interior of the OCB. Filmed on studio set.

Then we hit the beach. Filming location unknown but likely in the 400 block of Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.

Then we return to the interior of the OCB filmed on set.

Then we see Tubbs and Switek meet with Borrasca. This scene may have you flashing back to season 2 as this is where Legba is resurrected in Tale Of The Goat. Filmed on location at the Paris Theater. 550 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Then it is back to the interior of the OCB. Filmed on set.

Then we return to Paris Modern. 550 Washington Ave.

Then we go to Castillo’s place. Filmed on location at 3351 Poinciana Ave. Coconut Grove. This same location served as his residence in Golden Triangle 2, Bushido, and Heart of Night.

Then we return to the OCB interior. Filmed on set at Greenwich Studios.

Next we return to the Paris Theater to show the money.

This leads us to the ship. Filmed at the same location on the Miami River. Just east of the NW 22nd Ave. Bridge.

Then we return to Castillo’s. Filmed on location at 3351 Poinciana Ave. The episode ends here.

They walk past Big Chips Fruit Market.

Tale of The Goat

This exact same location was used in episode 67, Everybody’s in Showbiz.

We saw this section of Washington Avenue in a driving scene in the Movie Nude On The Moon. Where we saw it as it was in 1960. The Paris was in it’s original film as the Variety Theater.
