The episode starts with what appears to be an old man in fear for his life hiding in an attic. The symbolism is not lost. Likely filmed on studio set but this has not been confirmed.

Then we cut to an exterior shot of a small restaurant. Filmed on location at 1608 Alton Road, Miami Beach.

Since filming, a new building has been added on to the end of the buildings. The white building on the end that is now a Dunkin Donuts was not there at the time of filming.

We go inside. Filmed there on location at 1608 Alton Road.

We see Alvarez leave the restaurant and we see C+T positioned across the street in front of 1611 Alton Road.

C+T start to follow Alvarez southbound on Alton Road when all hell breaks loose inside the restaurant. They stop with a nice view of the Alton Road Firestone seen in the background.

C+T approach the front with due caution as the shooter escapes out the back.

The scene inside 1608 Alton Road is gruesome.

Amazingly the phone number listed for the business is the the same one still associated with this address all these years later. Prices on the menu were far from cheap in 1989.

Then we see the standard season 5 opening montage.

Act one opens still inside the restaurant. Filmed on location at 1608 Alton Road.

This leads us to a custodial interrogation in a swimming pool. Filmed on location at the hotel just south of the Shorecrest Hotel (1535 Collins Ave.) on Miami Beach. Approximate location 1515 Collins Ave. This Hotel has since been torn down. If you know it’s name or have pictures, please let me know at: cglide@floridamovielocations.org

Then we cut to the drug rip off. This was filmed on location under the 12th Avenue Bridge over the Miami River. The same location we saw used in The Cell Within.

Next we cut to the station where C+T are interrogating the Diablo. Filmed on studio set at Greenwich Studios.

Then we cut to the old man in the attic. Also filmed on set inside Greenwich Studios.

Then we see three more victims of a shooting similar to the one at the cafe. This was filmed on location at the Royal Palm Hotel. 1545 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach. In the background we look past the Shorecrest Hotel property and see the property  where we saw C+T do the in pool interrogation.

We then return to the station where the investigation takes a new route. Filmed on set at the studio.

Then we see an exterior shot of people arriving at a hotel. This was filmed on location at the rear of the Traymore Hotel. 2445 Collins Ave, Miami Beach.

Then we go inside. Filmed on location inside the Traymore Hotel.

The same guy that helps Tubbs then goes after Crockett should look familiar to Crockett. He is the same guy that stopped him from entering his wife’s press conference in LA, in episode 79, Rock And A Hard Place.

Then we go inside the jail. Very likely filmed on a set inside the studio.

Then we see them leaving, having been bailed out. This was filmed on location at the Miami Beach police Department. 1100 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Next we return to the OCB. Filmed on set inside Greenwich Studios.

Next we see Stan and Sonny impress Baker. Filmed on location at 431 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach.

Then we go to Baker’s house. Filmed on location at 27 Star Island.

Then we see an exterior establishing shot of the Carlyle Hotel. Where it (Miami Vice) all started. Filmed on location at 1250 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach.

Then we go inside for an interview. Filming location unknown.

Then we cut to the interior of the OCB. Filmed on set inside the studio.

Then we see C+T arrive at a rally. Filming location unknown. The interior of the rally may have been filmed inside the Poinciana Hotel (1555 Collins Ave.) which was in the process of being torn down. We saw this hotel displayed nicely in the background of episode 20, Nobody Lives Forever. I don’t normally post suspect locations here but I am posting it here in hopes someone may be able to provide more information. More research being needed.

Then we see a break in at Baker’s home. Filmed on location at 27 Star Island.

We cut back to the old man in the attic. No doubt filmed on set.

Then we cut to the nursing home. Filmed on location at the Royal Palm Hotel, Miami Beach. The big P seen in the background was a pretty good clue.

Then we see Crockett at Baker’s house. Filmed on location at 27 Star Island.

Then we see Crockett on pay phone. This was likely a shot of convenience as it was filmed next to the studio. Filmed on location at the Biscayne Bar and Grill (since torn down). A small bank across the street gave this location away. We saw Frank make a call from here in episode 47, Killshot though from an older pay phone. This one looks brand new.

Then we see Helen Jackson in the attic with the old man, her father. Filmed on studio set.

Then we cut to the nursing home where the mystery continues to unravel. Filmed on location at the front of the Royal Palm Hotel, 1545 Collins Ave., Miami Beach.

This leads us to a hall where an awards ceremony is going to take place. This was filmed on location at the rear (interior) of the Traymore Hotel, 2445 Collins Ave.

Angelo seeks revenge for his brother’s murder by murdering Helen. Then as Angelo runs away, Crockett shoots him without any justification.

After the bad shoot, Crockett and Tubbs just walk away leaving all in the past and the episode ends.

Interestingly, when the camera follows back toward the front door, it exposes Crockett’s mark on the ground. The tape mark indicating for him where he was to stop for the conversation in the scene.
